![]() The way to restart a Fitbit varies from model to model, and some require that your Fitbit be plugged in first. Wait 30–60 seconds before turning your iPhone on again. Swipe the red and white power icon from left to right to shut down your iPhone. If your iPhone has a Home button, just press and hold the power button until slide to power off appears. To restart your iPhone, simultaneously press and hold the side button and either volume button until slide to power off appears on the screen. Restarting your devices can fix a variety of small software issues and give them a fresh start. If you’re still running into problems and your iPhone won’t connect to your Fitbit, then you might need to restart both. Tap Download and Install or Install Now if an iOS update is available. Open Settings and tap General -> Software Update. It’s also a good idea to see if your iPhone is up to date, as outdated software can cause a variety of different problems. Scroll down to the Updates section, then tap Update to the right of the Fitbit app if one is available. Sometimes your iPhone can’t find your Fitbit because you haven’t installed the most up-to-date version of the Fitbit app. To check for an app update, open the App Store and tap the Account icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Reopen the Fitbit app and try pairing it to your iPhone again. If your iPhone doesn’t have a Home button, swipe up from the bottom to the center of the screen. Finally, swipe the Fitbit app up and off the top of the screen. Double-press the Home button, if your iPhone has one. ![]() The first step is to open the app switcher. Similar to resetting the Bluetooth connection, this will reset the Fitbit app and give it a fresh start. Resetting your Bluetooth connection is one way to troubleshoot, but if this doesn’t work, try closing and reopening the Fitbit app. Wait a few seconds, then tap the switch a second time to turn Bluetooth on again. Tap the switch at the top of the screen to turn off Bluetooth. This will reset the connection and hopefully allow your Fitbit to connect. If your iPhone still can’t find your Fitbit, try turning Bluetooth off and back on again. If it is, tap the information button (blue i inside of a circle), then tap Disconnect. In Settings -> Bluetooth, check to see if your iPhone is connect to any other devices. Connecting to multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously can interfere with your iPhone’s ability to pair with your Fitbit. It’s also important make sure your iPhone isn’t connected to any other Bluetooth devices. Make sure the switch next to Bluetooth at the top of the screen is on. Bluetooth is the technology your iPhone uses to wirelessly connect to other devices. Open Settings and tap Bluetooth. ![]() ![]() Hit submit at the bottom of the page, and the next time your device syncs to your app you'll then find it offers the clock type that you've chosen.Next, make sure iPhone Bluetooth is on. If you press on this, you'll then be able to switch between 12 hour and 24 hour clocks with ease. Scroll down through your details, and you'll find an option called 'Clock Display Time'. In the top right, you'll see a little cog icon that you should press on and then choose 'Settings' in the following menu. Click on this link (opens in new tab), and sign in with your official Fitbit account details to bring up your Profile. This is an easy change to make too, and you'll be able to do it through the official Fitbit website. How do you change from 12 hour to a 24 hour clock? You'll then need to sync your device, like we've explained above, for the update to take. From within here, you'll want to turn off the option that says 'Set Automatically' and then you'll be able to change the 'Time Zone' to whatever you need it to show. Within this menu, press 'Advanced Settings' and find the option that says 'Time Zone'. It's often in the bottom right hand corner. If you head into the Fitbit app, you'll find an icon that looks like a little ID card that says 'Account'. The good news is that this isn't too difficult to do. If that hasn't worked, you'll have to manually set your time zone. Tap on that – it should be at the top of the screen – and then pull down to refresh.Īfter a few moments, your device should sync to your tracker if it's nearby and then, hopefully, update the time to the right time zone as well. ![]() To manually sync your tracker, you'll want to open up the Fitbit app and find the picture of whatever tracker you want to sync. ![]()
